Fingerprint Athletes

In the past we've had fun doing different fingerprint art projects, like these fingerprint teacher bookmarks. We've also shared how to make fingerprint thank you cards, along with other fun fingerprint ideas. This was a fun extension project that also used some of our newest foam stickers: create fingerprint athletes.

We used our fingerprint athlete pictures as thank you cards, but they would also make really fun comic strips!
Materials:
White Card Stock or Blank Index Cards
Washable Ink in different colors
Black Permanent Markers
Foam Sports Stickers (we got ours at Wal-Mart for Big Brother's Mini Golf Birthday Party

First Big Brother would press his finger or thumbs into one of the colors of ink, and then print the ink onto the paper. This became part of the body of the athlete. Big Brother then added one of the stickers. Once he'd decided on a sport he added legs, arms, or other key details to match the sport the athletes were playing.

It was so fun to see all the different ways he created active athletes. For our project he also added the words "Thank You" to the front of our cards. We added some colorful envelopes and we instantly had homemade thank you cards.

This was a fun way to use up our stickers, make thank you cards, and just be creative! We'll definitely try this with different stickers again in the future!
